The Grand Canyon is an amazing 277 mile gorge & we start our trip at the Bright Angel Trailhead and make our way out the North Kaibab Rim Trailhead. Is this on your bucket list?

Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Meet at the North Rim Campground by 3pm. We will be camping at the Backpacker Group Site right on the North Rim. Let’s get to know everyone and enjoy the sunset from the North Rim. 

Day 2

Section: Bright Angel Trailhead to Havasupai Gardens Campsite

Hiking Distance: 5 miles

Highlights: Catch the 8am shuttle to the South Rim Trailhead (4.5 hour ride). Learning tons of cool facts about the canyon and how it came to be. We make a stop at the Historic Navajo Bridge in Marble Canyon. Great spot to check out the California Condor. They love hanging under the bridge. 

We head down the iconic Bright Angel trail with all of its breathtaking views of the Canyon. We slowly descend and take in all of the views. Can you say switchbacks! 

Day 3

Section: Havasupai Gardens to Cottonwood Campsite

Hiking Distance: 13 miles which includes a side trip to Ribbon Falls

Highlights: We start to see our first glimpse of the mighty Colorado river and the Silver Bridge. We will spend some time at Phantom Ranch for a snack and a Lemonade. They also have the last pony express. Yep, you can mail a Phantom Ranch postcard and it will be carried out on a mule. That is coll. The onto ” The Box” Beautiful bridges and easy terrain. We finish the day at Ribbon Falls for a swim and a climb to the back of the falls.

Day 4

 Section: Cottonwood campsite to the North Rim trailhead

Hiking Distance: 7 miles 

Highlights: There are SO many. We start with Manzanita Point and Roaring Springs Canyon and a great view of Roaring Spring Falls. The Redwall Bridge is so crazy cool and the views are for miles. We end with the Supai Tunnel and Coconino overlook. Celebrate your life changing accomplishment.

“Trips are subject to itinerary changes based on a variety of circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to permit or campsite availability, snowpack, river crossings, wildlife, park or land closures, and forest fires. The price of a hiking trip will never change due to itinerary changes. Payments are not refundable for itinerary changes or park or land closures. If a trip is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control and no alternate itinerary is available a trip credit will be issued equal to the full amount paid minus any nonrefundable expenses incurred by the Company.”
